In recent years, the fields of activity of banks and financial institutions have been constantly expanding and their importance has been increasing in business life, which has been reshaped as a result of developments in information and technology. The purpose of the Banking and Finance program opened within the School of Applied Sciences is to provide the basic rules and principles of contemporary science in a developed and globalized world, in a theoretical and practical manner, in accordance with the conditions of the country.
Theoretical training in Banking and Finance Program is given through the courses like Mathematics, Statistics, Banking Law, Computer, Accounting, Money-Bank-Credit, Finance, Computerized Finance Analysis, Investment Project Valuation, International Financing, Risk Management, Financial Instruments and Institutions. On the other hand, training for market practices is realised through internships and workplace trainings.
In our universities, the system of general theoretically based education causes organizations to re-educate the staff they have employed for practice reasons. In the relevant departments of the School of Applied Sciences, the provision of training for direct work life leads to a higher level of positioning of the schools in terms of competitive advantage.
